Basic Structure Waterproofing
​
We understand that sealing your earth-sheltered home is crucial for its longevity and comfort. Our comprehensive waterproofing package features multiple layers designed to prevent leaks for a guaranteed 10 years, with pricing tailored to the size and location of your home. We extend insulation horizontally and utilize rigid materials like EPS and XPS and waterproof closed cell spray foam to create a thermal barrier that separates your home from soil conditions.
 
Here’s a concise overview of your nine-step waterproofing process:
1. Begin by applying below-grade waterproofing directly to the concrete to ensure your home stays safe and dry.
2. Add bentonite clay around penetrations and cover the below-grade flat surfaces with a bentonite mat.
3. Backfilling dirt with the excavator you’ve hired.
4. Implement the umbrella insulation process, adding several inches of below-grade insulation and waterproof closed cell insulation.
5. Apply an EPDM rubber liner and seal all penetrations with a waterproof membrane.
6. Place a layer of sand or geo-tech fabric as provided by the homeowner.
7. Finally, your excavator will complete the final grade, preparing the for grass or other landscaping.
 
This process ensures a thorough and effective waterproofing solution for your home.
